This is the place where every emergency situation has been discussed. This is the place where the people elect the members and store their faith in them. This is the place that's the most crucial entity for governance and debate.
This is the Lok Sabha!
Introduction to the Agenda
In today’s day and age, India might look like a country that is perfect on the outside, but on the inside, cracks are happening. A live example for this is the growth of separatist movements in India. The Khalistani Movement, Separate Tamil State Movement, Azad Kashmir Movement, etc. show that all is not well in our nation. Parliamentarians will need to discuss why these movements are happening in the first place, their root cause(s) and what needs to be done to eradicate them. The second agenda talks about electoral reforms in India. While many are in favour of the reforms, countless people have opposed it citing democratic erasure, political malpractice, etc. Parliamentarians will need to discuss whether these reforms have happened for the better or worse of our nation, and what the future beholds.
These agendas will not only test the ability of ministers and opposition leaders’ on the spot think, it will also show how much everyone has thought about the people they are debating for, the Bharatiya Janata.
